Windows Media Technology Analysis
Logitech operates a RealNetworks server system that allows users of digital cameras to publish live video streams that are accessible on the Internet via IP multicast. They considered replacing their current servers with a system based on Windows Media Technology (WMT). This reconfiguration would require a control component for the Microsoft Media Server that accepts commands over an HTTP based protocol and uses a DCOM based interface on the Media Server to administer the publication of video streams. Eagle completed a preliminary analysis of this proposed architecture, outlining some of the potential weaknesses and show-stopping problems of the WMT architecture. We also prepared an analysis of architectural and technical requirements for a system that would meet Logitech's needs. This specification included the server control component as well as client-based components that utilize the WMT stream encoding API. Expert Witness Service
Because of the depth and variety of experience of Eagle's development staff, we have been engaged from time to time to provide expert witness consulting services to FTI Teklicon, a leading source of expert witnesses for law firms. Technical Hiring Consultation
Because of Eagle's experience in identifying and hiring high-quality technical personnel, the YMCA of Berkeley-Albany (CA) and other clients have from time to time requested that we participate in their hiring process. |
